When loading these containers it is always important to consider
cargo height; make sure air can flow between the top of the container
and the cargo itself; check that the container has a (red) mark
indicating the maximum storage height.
Do not cover
the fins (located on the floor of the container) with goods, since
air circulates in a repeated process as follows: air comes down
from the Evaporator, goes through the flaps on the floor and goes
back above the cargo to the engines.
Avoid opening
doors continuously while heat is being removed from products (reducing
temperature). If this is not possible, door opening must be reduced
to a minimum.
Try to adjust
the thawing time according to product conditions and the atmosphere
in the place; e.g., exceedingly humid products will result in
greater condensation and ice formation, which may block the passage
of cold air through the evaporator. We should then reduce the
thawing time to allow for more fluid removal from the system,
ensuring free passage of cold air with no blockades.
The condenser
(a sort of radiator) located in the container engine is responsible
for removing heat from the cooling system. It should be washed
at least once a week, using a low pressure hose, rinsing until
the water comes out clean.
The excess
of high temperature cargo will delay the time required to reduce
the internal temperature value.
STORING
WAYS
1º - Start loading the container from the back to the front,
leaving no free spaces;
2º -
Always consider the height of the ceiling (do not go beyond the
red mark);
3º -
Check that no cargo is left leaning against the door; at least
30 cm should be left free to facilitate cold air circulation.
ADVANTAGES
The use of
reefers increases your cold storage space instantaneously and
economically in your own plant.
It solves problems caused by peaks in demand or unforeseen business
growth.
It prevents your product from being contaminated by others.
It allows you to access strategic areas for the distribution of
your product.
The easy transportation of containers makes it possible to position
them quickly anywhere in the territory and to relocate them subsequently.
